Mara River Crossings
Everyone knows about the massive herds of wildebeest migrating into the Masai Mara in July and August, and the first five images are from that spectacle. However, one January my guide Arnold and I were witness to a massive herd of zebra crossing the Mara River, and having to avoid at least 30 Nile crocodiles in the process. The crocs were hungry and some of them were massive. I'm sure the zebras didn't share my enthusiasm for the photographic opportunity.
