Hide at Lentorre Lodge

This is a selection of the images from the floodlit waterhole at Lentorre Lodge in Kenya, taken over three nights in February 2023.  The overall conditions were quite dry and hot (hitting 40C most afternoons).  Dry was good for us as it meant few other sources of water in the vicinity, bringing a wide variety of wildlife to this waterhole each night.  Below you will see giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck, impala, leopard (sometimes with a giraffe in the shot), African wildcat, civet, eland (even the camp staff were excited to see eland there for the first time), elephant, zebra, porcupine, the dik-dik, a striped hyena and a warthog. We were very lucky as a month earlier a group had seen almost nothing.  Wonderful camp staff, fabulous food.
